By Howard Cook, Founder and General Manager of Bay Area Retrofit

Even though Bay Area Retrofit has made significant contributions to the field, I must  give all credit to structural engineer Nels Roselund who, after working for decades as a Historic Building Preservation Engineer and building code developer, took the time to teach me all that he knew as well as introduce me to the leading structural engineers at universities and research labs who had also made contributions to the field.  Whatever I know about retrofit engineering is but a footnote to all that he taught me.
