Important Educational Downloads About Earthquake Retrofitting

Each of these documents contains technical and engineering information that we have found indispensable in our designs and implementation of effective residential seismic retrofitting.

You will find information on general principles, the earthquake resistance of building materials no longer in use, tests of old foundations, tests of various retrofit components done in research laboratories, etc. These documents have been compiled over the past 15 years and some of the material is based on original research. The downloads are ranked from the most relevant to the least relevant, but all of them are applicable.  If you know of any other research documents, or have written any original material, please send us that information and we will post it here.
